Volunteering

Want to pick up new skills, make new friends and make a difference for Darlaston? Then you could be a Sure Star!
Sure Stars is our volunteer scheme which offers plenty of opportunities for voluntary work at Sure Start Darlaston. Current volunteers are / have been involved in:

• assisting at events
• evaluating the project
• garden and allotment projects
• reception work
• fundraising for charity

Our Community Development Co-ordinator is Suzzanne Ajame-Singh. She will offer volunteers lots of support in finding a role to suit you, finding training to help you in the role and for finding a job in the future, working around other commitments such as children or part-time work. Though the work is unpaid, out of pocket expenses are covered and training will be free.
