Volunteering

Want to pick up new skills, make new friends and make a difference for Darlaston? Then you could be a Sure Star!
Sure Stars is our volunteer scheme which offers plenty of opportunities for voluntary work at Sure Start Darlaston. Current volunteers are / have been involved in:

• working in a community cafe
• assisting at events
• evaluatinbg the project
• garden and allotment projects
• reception work
• fundraising for charity

Our dedicated volunteer coordinator is Tacha Newman. She will offer volunteers lots of support in finding a role to suit  you, finding training to help you in the role and for finding a job in the future, working around other commitments such as children or part-time work. Though the work is unpaid, expences are covered and training will be free. If you think you could help out and would like to pick up new skills and training along the way, call Tacha on 0121 526 5537.
